Hayes tries to schedule a time to meet: ''I shall attend the meeting of the Trustees of the Peabody Fund Oct 3rd and will be again in New York attending the meetings...But you are all so near the Fifth Avenue Hotel when I habitually stop that we can...easily arrange a meeting...R.B. Hayes''. Single page letter on card style stationery measures 5.5'' x 8.5''. Some creasing and toning, else near fine condition.
