Hailed as the World's Greatest Entertainer during the 1930's, the singer and star of the first feature-length talkie inscribes: ''Sincerely / Al Jolson'' in blue ink to a plain sheet. Jolson's versatility as a performer encompassed the realms of music, comedy, stage and film. His pioneering style and implementation of his personal charisma singing jazz and blues is said to have paved the way for the phenomenon of rock-stardom. Imperceptible type to verso, else near fine. Measures 3.75'' x 6.75''.
