Extremely rare Margaret Mitchell signed inscription in the German-Swiss edition of ''Gone With the Wind'', titled ''Vom Winde Verweht'', published in 1948. Book is inscribed to the fly-leaf to Mitchell's personal secretary, reading in full: ''For / Margaret Baugh / with gratitude and appreciation for assistance in arranging this German-Swiss translation of 'Gone with the Wind'. / Margaret Mitchell / Atlanta Ga., January 14, 1949''. Just seven months later, the author passed away. Bound in chocolate silk faille cloth boards with gilt lettering. Measures approximately 5.5'' x 8.5''. One fly-leaf contains a later inscription by German cultural official Heinrich Landahl, else very good to near fine with fair dustjacket. One of if not the latest signed copy of ''Gone With the Wind'' in existence.
