Broadside of the Declaration of Independence from its centennial, in 1876. The comemmorative broadside bears the entire text of the Declaration and facsimile of the iconic signatures. A text box to the lower right contains ad copy for the sponsor, Henry J. Rhoads Hosiery, Gloves and Fancy Goods of Reading, PA. Print to the bottom edge indicates the copyright belongs to James D. McBride of the Columbia Publishing Company, New York, 1874, and that another copy without the ad is available from the publisher for fifty cents. Single-page broadside on delicate paper measures 14.75'' x 19.5''. Creasing, else fine.
