Neil Armstrong typed letter signed as well as a gravitational force scale prototype, referenced in the letter. Letter dated 30 March 1995 on Armstrong's personal letterhead is addressed to a Mr. Jim Chezem, reading in full: ''Dear Mr. Chezem: Thank you for your letter of 6 March detailing the progress you have achieved in establishing a recognized scale applicable to gravitational forces. I have no objection to your use of the name Armstrong being applied to the scale. You may want to reconsider the acronym you have suggested, as many might identify it with others, such as SNAFU. All good wishes, Sincerely, Neil A. Armstrong''. With ''Neil Armstrong'' signature penned in black ink above his typed name. Letter, measuring 8.5'' x 11'' on one page, has two folds from mailing, else near fine. Also accompanied by the scale itself and its technical paper, titled ''Proposed Armstrong Scale For Gravitational Force / By Jim A. Chezem / Lt. Col. USA (ret)''. Scale is in operating order and measures gravitational force. Measures 7'' x 3'' with ''No. 1'' written on it, noting that it's a prototype. Lot also includes original envelope from Armstrong to Chezem with Armstrong's P.O. Box address at top left. Lastly includes a typed letter signed by someone at The Weather Channel who thanks Mr. Chezem for his research in connection to hurricane development. A unique letter signed by Armstrong, encouraging a fellow scientist.
