John Wayne production used canteen from ''The Green Berets,'' his 1968 Vietnam War film. Metal canteen was supplied for the film by the U.S. government from WWII-era supply stock. This was the only Wayne film for which the government issued official property. Khaki green canvas case is labeled ''Morrow & Douglas / 1944''. Canteen measures approximately 8.25'' x 5.5''. Fine condition. With a COA from John Wayne Enterprises, run by Ethan Wayne.
