Rare 1968-1969 regional Emmy Award. Figural plaque-style ''Outstanding Individual Achievement'' award was presented to Michael Landwehr, producer of ''Crisis in the Middle East''. The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has 19 regional chapters across the United States. Metal plaque bolted to the front reads in full: ''1968-1969 Washington D.C. Area / Television Academy Award / Outstanding Individual Achievement / Michael Landwehr / Producer / 'Crisis in the Middle East' / December 17, 1968 - WTOP - TV''. Banner-style metal NATAS plaque features the Academy's copyright stamp to verso. Adjoining, the iconic winged woman holding an atom represents the symbiotic relationship between art and science intrinsic to television. Banner and figure are mounted to a black marble base with underside lined in black felt. An Emmy sticker affixed to the bottom identifies the manufacturer as Dogde, Inc. Trophies of Los Angeles. Base measures 5.5'' across and 3'' deep. Award measures 6.25'' in total height and weighs 1lb, 15 oz. Lifting to the finish on the figure with tarnishing and discoloration to metal, else near fine.
