Benito Mussolini signed photo of himself in profile, wearing military regalia. The infamous Italian fascist signs the shoulder of his uniform in black, ''Mussolini / 7 Aprile XVIII''. The XVIII in Latin likely refers to the year 1918, when Mussolini formed a fascist league in Milan called the Blackshirts, and famously called for the emergence of a man ''ruthless and energetic enough to make a clean sweep'' to revive the Italian nation. Matte photo measures an extraordinarily large 24'' x 17''. Creasing and curling to photo from being folded inside a tube, overall very good.
