Kurt Vonnegut signed ''The Writer's Image: Literary Portraits by Jill Krementz.'' David R. Godine: Boston: 1980. Photojournalist Jill Krementz created this collection of unorthodox and compelling black and white portraits of writers of the 1960's and 1970's. She signs and inscribes on the front free endpaper. Her husband, writer Kurt Vonnegut, also signs his photo where he poses with a manuscript of ''Breakfast of Champions.'' The original dustjacket shows minor edge wear, else very good. The 8.5'' x 10.5'' book is near fine.
