The author of children's literature, most famous for writing the classic ''Where the Wild Things Are'' signs ''Maurice'' in blue ink beneath a printed holiday sentiment. Includes original envelope postmarked Rockford, Maine, 1971 and addressed in Sendak's hand to his puppeteer friend Herbert Hosmer in South Lancaster, Massachusetts. Printed cover art features a buoy adorned by a wreath and surrounded by a trio of seagulls. Measures 3.5'' x 5''. In fine condition.
