Ed White signed photo, depicting the astronaut tethered to the Gemini 4 spacecraft. 7'' x 6'' photo is glued to a 10'' x 7.5'' mat board. Signed and inscribed to NASCAR driver Jim Rathmann, with whom White attended the Indy 500, referenced in his inscription: ''To Jim and Kay - With best personal regards / Thanks for the great time at the '500' / Edward H. White II / Gemini IV''. Photo and inscription are significantly faded and some tape residue to verso, otherwise near fine condition. Signed items by White are quite rare as he died in 1967 along with fellow astronauts Gus Grissom and Roger Chaffee during a pre-launch test for the first manned Apollo mission.
