Posthumous degree for Arthur Ashe from Columbia University. Degree in Latin bestows the ''Degree of Doctor of Laws'' to Ashe in May of 1993. Degree is accompanied by a two-page biography of Ashe signed by Michael Sovern, President of Columbia University. Degree is housed in a blue leather folder featuring the seal of Columbia University to the front. Folder measures 14.5'' x 12.5''. Front of folder contains sticker with Ashe's name typed to the lower right corner. Overall near fine. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
