Long Island University degree presented to Arthur Ashe during commencement exercises on 6 June 1989. Certificate bestows the degree of ''Doctor of Humane Letters.'' Accompanied by booklet from the commencement exercises and a copy of the Master Script for the Order of Exercises. Degree housed in a leather folder which measures 14.5'' x 11.5''. Leather folder has tear to front; degree and paperwork remain in very good condition. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
