Award is a metal plate, printed with the article and photo that appeared in ''Time'' when Ashe made history as the first black tennis player to win men's singles at Wimbledon. Text at the bottom reads, ''Presented to / ARTHUR ASHE / by / TIME MAGAZINE / London, 1987''. Mounted to a wooden plaque measuring 23.75'' x 16''. Some chipping to the wood at the corners, else near fine. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
