Arthur Ashe Davis Cup trophy from the 1984 championship. Sweden defeated the US in the final. Trophy is engraved, ''RUNNER UP'' on the front of the finial cup. Silver cup rests on a silver plate upon a red lacquered base covered in two rows of silver bands. A copper piece to the front of the base reads, '''84 DAVIS CUP by NEC''. A second copper band below reads, ''Gotenborg, Sweden Dec. 16 - 18 1984 NEC Corporation''. Stunning trophy by Nippon Electric Co. Ltd. measures 7.75'' in diameter at the base and 7.75'' in total height. Fine. Housed in its brown carrying case lined in red velour. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
