Arthur Ashe silver trophy plate from 1970. This was the year Ashe made history as the first African American player to win men's singles at the Australian Open. This plate is from the Caribe Hilton tournament in Puerto Rico. Engraved to center: ''Caribe Hilton / 18th Annual International Tennis Tournament / Men's Doubles Runner-Up / 1970''. Embossed silver oval plate features a floral and wheat shaft design. Measures 12'' across and 7'' deep; weighs 9 ounces. Near fine. With an LOA from Arthur Ashe's widow.
