Revolutionary War document dated 20 February 1783, just months before the Treaty of Paris ended the war. Document orders payment to a soldier in the Third Connecticut Regiment. Reads in part: ''Received, of secure the stated by the Committees of the State and of the Army...'' Signed by Calvin Wilson, another member of the Regiment, on behalf of the payee, Eleazer Robinson. 7'' x 6.5''. Moderate toning, horizontal folds weak near edges with some professional repair. Overall very good.
