Ty Cobb autograph letter signed, dated 19 May 1951, on ''Tyrus R. Cobb / 46 Spencer Lane, Atherton / Menlo Park, California'' stationery. Letter, written in Cobb's signature green ink, is addressed to Christy Walsh, Cobb's sports agent, and discusses his commitment to Brown & Bigelow promotional company. Reads in full: ''Dear Christy: - Relative to years, I am signed to a sports or baseball calendar by Brown & Bigelow direct. The fee paid in very material and contract binds me not to give my consent to any other one. My business is with Mr. D.W. Rindfleisch of Brown & Bigelow, take any matter relative to your request up with him. Sincerely, Ty Cobb''. Letter, measuring 7.25'' x 10.5'', is in fine condition. Letter is stapled to the original typed letter from the promotional company attempting to get Cobb to sign with them. With PSA/DNA COA.
