Two Boston American ''raincheck'' ticket stubs, stamped 1910, two years after the team officially became the Red Sox, for admission to the Huntington Avenue Grounds. The Boston team began play as the Americans in 1901 in the new American League, and became the Red Sox in 1908. The rainchecks, priced at 25 cents each, are printed in red and blue on front and black on the verso. Numbered 729 and 730, they are, ''Not good if 4 1/2 innings of this game are played''. The signature of John I. Taylor, team owner and president, is printed on both sides of each ticket. 3'' x 1.75''. Near fine. Encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
