Mayor William Gaynor thanks Franklin Riker for his $10 contribution ''...to the fund for the relief of the survivors of the crew and passengers of the 'Titanic' steamship, and of the dependents of those who lost their lives in the disaster...'' Signed ''W.J. Gaynor''. The New York relief fund was organized after the Titanic sank to accept the outpouring of sympathy by Americans and British. 5'' x 8'' letter has expected folds, toning and moderate foxing. Very good.
