Vintage poster for the American Red Cross by artist Walter Beach Humphrey, who depicts a pair of children clinging to one another, awaiting help in the wake of a natural disaster. Issued as part of the charity's 1936 ''Roll Call'' fundraising campaign, it reads: ''For their sake / JOIN NOW''. Paperboard poster measures 13.5'' x 20.5''. Toning and prior owner's ink marks to verso. Creases causing some surface loss cross the image and are reinforced with tape to verso, else very good.
