Famed WWII General George S. Patton's West Point ''Howitzer'' yearbook from 1909. He appears here as a senior on page 76. The typed blurb beneath his photo reveals his nickname ''Georgie''. It continues: ''...There is only one blot on the otherwise spotless 'scutcheon of George's military career...'' and tells of his accident breaking both arms playing football. His name is also listed on page 208 as member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. Bound in tan leather boards with gilt lettering. Measures 8'' x 10.25''. Leather loss to backstrip and exterior hinges. Toning and staining to boards. In very good condition overall.
