Article reads ''...Truman, in replying...to Japan's offer of surrender and her request for a clarification of the status of the Emperor, said the ruler would be permitted to remain on the throne for the time being subject to the commander of the Allied occupation forces...'' Stories and a photo of General MacArthur also appear. Measures 16.5'' x 22.5'' and shows chipping, toning, and separation to left-hand spine. Overall very good.
