Dr. Seuss autograph letter signed on stationery with his world-famous ''Cat in the Hat.'' He writes in red ink: ''Dear Diddo...We got back in town just in time to fly away again...to work in London, on Saturday...thence to Morocco and Paris... thence to N.Y. Gawd, how I wish we could roost here for awhile! And when we do, we will smile with you. Very best, Ted''. The letter itself is not dated, but lot includes original envelope which is postmarked 11 July 1983 from Washington, D.C. Measures 5.5'' x 8.5''. Crease at center, mild toning, and ink notations to verso, else near fine.
