John Milton's ''Paradise Lost, Books I and II'' published in 1895 as part of the Eclectic English Classics series. American Book Company: New York: 1895. In addition to Books I and II, edition includes an introduction and a nice sketch of Milton to frontispiece. The epic Biblical poem written in blank verse was first published in ten books in 1667, quickly becoming regarded as one of the finest works of English literature. Hardcover book measures 5'' x 7.25'' with minor wear to green cloth boards and spine. Runs 90pp., with former owner's name to front free endpaper and pencil markings to rear free endpaper and pastedown. Very good condition.
