Joseph Heller handwritten letter, both signed and initialed. Enigmatic letter reads in part, ''Dear Jim [Professor James Nagel]: Here, at last, it is...Regards, Joe / P.S. Could you have your publisher send me 6 copies quickly...There's a professor at City College who's asked me for a copy...Thanks. JH''. Letter is undated, though very likely written in March 1974, just before Heller received copies of Nagel's book, ''Critical Essays on Catch-22''. Three page letter on two sheets of Heller's stationery measures 4'' x 6''. Near fine condition.
