Children's book author Roald Dahl signs his book ''James and the Giant Peach'' published by Alfred A. Knopf: New York: 1961. Illustrations by Nancy Ekholm Burkert. Dahl's inscription reads: ''To Nigel Allsopp and the children of the splendid Everleigh Primary School. I loved my visit. Love, Roald Dahl. March 1976''. This dark and whimsical novel is about a boy, James, who lives inside the core of a monolithic piece of fruit and befriends the resident insects. Light staining to lower margin affecting five leaves. Overall in very good condition.
