Here, Roosevelt writes to Hildur Coon, a counselor at a Seattle, Washington educational institution. Reads in part: ''...I am so sorry I will not be here the last week end of February. I have to go to Pittsburgh for the American Friends Service Committee and am trying to work in another engagement on the way...'' Signed, ''Eleanor Roosevelt'' in black ink. 1pp. letter measures 6'' x 9.25'' with two expected folds from mailing. With original White House envelope. Near fine.
