7 June 1968 newspaper reporting on the assassination of Robert Kennedy. The presidential hopeful was shot on 5 June, died 26 hours later and was buried on the 8th. Turbulent period in American history is evidenced by the Dallas Times Herald's headline: ''Thousands Pay RFK Respects'' while another front page article announces ''Cong Slam More Shells Into Saigon''. Photos depict RFK's children carrying his casket to St. Patrick's Cathedral, and an interior article discloses the results of the autopsy. Section A only runs 24pp. Foxing and toning. Very good.
