Garret Hobart autograph letter signed with additional signed postscript. Hobart died in office as Vice President under William McKinley in 1899. His letter to ''Bill'' is dated 19 March 1875 upon Tuttle & Griggs Law Offices stationery. He writes, ''...I leave tonight to Middletown...a note...is or will be due tomorrow...review the note + I will give you check for interests / Yours, Hobart...I will...guarantee your old note if you must have the money / Hobart''. 1pp. measures 5.75'' x 9.5''. Separation to fold intersection at upper right and mild smudging to ink, else near fine.
