Neil Armstrong signed ''New Haven Journal-Gazette'' newspaper dated 21 July 1969, with ''Moonday'' cutely printed by the paper instead of ''Monday'', the day after the Apollo 11 crew successfully landed on the moon. Bold ''We Did It!'' headline is printed in red ink above a large front-page photo of Armstrong stepping out of the Eagle and onto the moon after it landed. Armstrong signs the newspaper on the large photo ''Neil Armstrong'' in blue ink. Signature is large measuring 1.5'' x 2''. Caption beneath photo captures those words that Armstrong will forever be remembered for, ''That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.'' Edition includes various stories detailing the mission throughout with play-by-play details of the journey. Newspaper measures 15.5'' x 11.5'' folded and runs 38pp., with toning throughout and small tears along right edge. Overall very good.
