Edith Head original costume sketch signed, from Alfred Hitchcock's 1969 film ''Topaz'', starring Frederick Stafford and Karin Dor. Watercolor and pencil sketch was used as a promotional fashion tie-in, taking the ''look'' she had created for this film to merchandise a line of clothing. With costume notations written in pencil by Head, ''The 'Topaz' Look / Topaz wool [?] and matching caramel hat & bolero''. With a large, bold 3'' ''Edith Head'' signature at lower left in pencil. Sketch measures 14'' x 16.75'' on thick watercolor paper with a 2'' horizontal tear along left edge. Near fine.
