Army sweatsuit worn onscreen by Tom Hanks as Forrest Gump, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. The 1994 Paramount film also won Best Picture. Army is printed across the sweatshirt and down the sides of both pant legs. Hanks plays a slow but athletically gifted man from Alabama who joins the Army during the Vietnam War. The film is lauded for its portrayal of Gump's innocent character before a backdrop of 1960's-1980's America. MPCC (Motion Picture Costume Company) is handwritten on the tag. Size M. Includes a photo of Hanks wearing the ensemble. With COA describing the wardrobe's procurement by Eastern Costume Company and provenance from Bonham's. Near fine.
