Walt Disney signed photo. His autograph inscription reads: ''To Bill Branch, with my best wishes, Walt Disney''. In this unusual photo, Disney's gaucho costuming alludes to his efforts as a goodwill ambassador to South America in 1941 as part of the ''Good Neighbor Policy.'' With a party of twenty from his studio, Disney toured Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Peru to deter communist sentiment, upon the U.S. State Department's request. His experiences there inspired his 1942 feature, ''Saludos Amigos,'' which itself inspired 1944's ''The Three Caballeros.'' Measures 9'' x 7''.
