Lot of 20 Mary Astor documents and autograph letters signed by the legendary Academy Award winning actress, ranging in date from 1957 to 1982. Three autograph letters signed, dated only with a month or day, touch on various subjects, including Astor's writing. Three typed letters signed, one dated 5 October 1957, also mention her writing. Astor was a bestselling author as well as an award winning actress. A typed letter signed, dated 5 October 1971, grants permission for a clip of Astor's iconic role in ''The Maltese Falcon'' to be shown in another film. Fourteen miscellaneous signed items include an apartment rental agreement, an auto warranty, an agreement with a building contractor in Mexico, an import document in Spanish listing building supplies, bills of sale for household goods, both in Mexico and California, and a request for statement of earnings. Astor, who made her TV debut in 1954, also signs a 1962 contract for a TV appearance. Finally, Astor signs a document as a resident of the Motion Picture and Television Country House and Lodge, where she lived until her death in 1987. Documents vary in size from 3.75'' x 3'' to 8.5'' x 14.5''. Light toning, else very good plus condition.
