Lot of 20 items by Academy-Award winning actress Mary Astor. Lot comprises 18 signed documents and two autograph letters signed, ranging in date from 1952 to 1972. Miscellaneous items include apartment rental agreements, moving company paperwork, an auto purchase agreement, a deed of trust on Astor's Malibu Colony property, a mausoleum contract, an agreement with a building contractor in Mexico, and bills of sale for household goods, both in Mexico and California. Astor, who made her TV debut in 1954, also signs a 1962 contract for a TV appearance. Astor continued her acting career throughout the 1960's while also writing several novels and two bestselling memoirs. This lot contains a contract for her 1962 novel, ''The Image of Kate'' and Astor's Authors Guild membership card for 1968. An autograph letter signed, dated 12 April 1952, to her second husband, Franklyn Thorpe, is signed, ''Mary / (Mrs. T.G. Wheelock)''. Thomas Wheelock was her fourth husband. The final item is an undated autograph letter signed ''Mary Astor'' to Mae. Documents vary in size from 3.75'' x 2.5'' to 8.5'' x 14''. Light toning, chipping and tearing to some documents. All signatures clear. Overall in very good condition.
