Unique lot of signed items from Johnny Carson, sent to a fan in 1953 when Carson was achieving ''cult success'' with his sketch comedy show ''Carson's Cellar''. Lot includes (1) 8'' x 10'' glossy signed photo inscribed to Shirlee. Light creasing and poor contrast to part of signature, very good plus condition. (2) Typed letter signed ''Johnny Carson'' on KNXT stationery. Measures 7.25'' x 10.5''. Folds, else near fine. (3) Autograph postcard signed ''Johnny Carson'', likely also signed again by him in the return address, postmarked 26 January 1953. Measures 5.5'' x 3.25''. Near fine. (4-5) Two typed postcards each signed ''Johnny Carson'', postmarked 24 February 1953 and 27 May 1953. Each card measures 5.5'' x 3.25''. Very good to near fine. (6) Ticket marked ''Not For Sale'' to ''Carson's Cellar'', dated 11 January 1953. Measures 4'' x 1.75''. Tape to edges, else near fine. Ticket appears to be a full ticket. A fine lot of items from early in Carson's career, before he landed the coveted ''Tonight Show''.
