Beautiful Lenox china service plate made for the Carter White House, with an emerald-jade ''Carter green'' color accenting an ivory center and two bands of gold. The Presidential seal in gilt at center completes the style, which was ordered specifically for formal state dinners, but which arrived too late in 1980 to be used in the Executive Mansion, and is instead displayed at the Carter Presidential Library. Lenox exhibit plate is marked on the underside, ''Exhibit Collection for Lenox, Inc. / Made in U.S.A. / The White House / 1980''. Plate measures 10.5'' in diameter. Fine condition.
