James Madison signature as President. The fourth President and founding father who's been called ''Father of the Constitution'' here signs a slip with ''By the President'' printed above. Nicely framed with an engraving of Madison. Visible portion of slip measures 3.875'' x 2'', framed to 12.5'' x 17.25''. Light creasing and dampstain at upper right. Not examined out of frame, but appears very good.
