Jackie Kennedy personally owned pair of lilac linen bermuda shorts. ''Griffon de Paris in Moygashel Linen'' brand shorts were previously sold at a July 2003 Hantman's Auction. Shorts have no size, though hit knee length with a large back pocket, two buttons and zipper at side. With a letter of provenance by the Kennedys personal secretary, Mary Barelli Gallagher: ''This is to serve as proof of authenticity that (1) the item in this auction lot was formerly the property of Mary Barelli Gallagher, and (2) the property has remained solely in my possession since originally receiving it. I was formerly Secretary to Senator John F. Kennedy (1953-1956) and Personal Secretary to Mrs. John F. Kennedy (1956-1964). In 1969 'My Life With Jacqueline Kennedy' was published by David McKay, N.Y., relating to my twelve years with the Kennedys.'' Near fine.
