''The Dallas Times Herald'' from 22 November 1963, the day Kennedy was assassinated. A headline in giant typeface blares: ''PRESIDENT DEAD, CONNALLY SHOT''. This is an earlier edition of the ''Herald'' from that day. Though the article mentions a suspect was taken into police custody, Lee Harvey Oswald's name was not yet revealed. The issue printed later Friday evening identifies the suspect by name. The front page features a photograph of Kennedy greeting a throng of starstruck citizens at Love Field upon his arrival in Dallas, about an hour before his motorcade was attacked.
