Joe Rosenthal typed letter signed from 13 March 1946 on letterhead from the San Francisco Chronicle, where he worked after snapping his famous WWII photo, ''Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima''. Rosenthal writes to an autograph seeker, whose request to sign a page of Iwo Jima stamps is graciously complied with: ''...Of course, I'll be glad to sign your pages of stamps. Shoot 'em along...[signed] Jose Rosenthal''. Letter measures 8.5'' x 11''. Folds, else near fine.
