Author Irving Stone signs this limited edition of ''The Agony and the Ecstasy'' clearly on the fly-leaf: ''Irving Stone''. Franklin Library: Franklin Center, PA: 1977. In his introduction to this special edition, Stone tells readers how he apprenticed himself to a marble sculptor in Italy as preparation for his biographical novel of Michelangelo. The 844pp. book, measuring 6'' x 9.25'', is bound in red leather with gilt lettering and edges. Fine condition.
