Rare invitation to the 8 September 2009 investiture ceremony of Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic member of the Court and the third woman. On this day, Sotomayor took the Judicial Oath of Office in the formal investiture ceremony of the Supreme Court, which followed her informal swearing-in earlier in August 2010. Invitation card features an embossed gilt Supreme Court seal at top, and original Supreme Court envelope. Card measures 5.875'' x 4.5''. Near fine condition.
