Dated 29 September (1961), brief letter to his friend Paul Semonin reads in full, ''Have just been evicted - date is Oct 27 - no appeal - Sandy still swollen - The Fear is on me - down to $8 fortune - must finish the book - god only knows how - that's the latest word - H''. Single page of lined notebook paper measures 6.75'' x 8.25''. Near fine condition.
