The day-to-day tasks of a Hollywood icon are revealed in this interesting batch of 39 personal checks signed by legendary screen siren Mary Astor. Each check is made out in her hand and most are printed with her name and address at the famous movie business retirement home on Mulholland Drive. Over the course of her lengthy career Astor won an Academy Award and performed memorably opposite Humphrey Bogart in the 1941 film ''The Maltese Falcon''. Bank cancellations stamps to some, otherwise near fine.
