Official Hollywood Foreign Press Association Golden Globe nomination certificate from 1977 honoring the made for television movie, ''Raid on Entebbe'', directed by Irvin Kershner. The film won the award that year, and was based on an actual hostage incident at a Uganda airport the year before. Certificate reads in part, ''Hollywood Foreign Press Association Certificate of Nomination for Award / Be it known that Raid on Entebbe was nominated for a Golden Globe Award of Merit for Outstanding Achievement / Best Picture / Edgar J. Scherick Assoc. / 20th Century Fox TV-NBC...'' Signed by F.P. Association president and secretary. Measures 11'' x 8.5'' with minor toning and slightly uneven top right edge. Near fine.
