Adolph Hitler's successor, Karl Donitz typed letter signed ''Donitz'' upon his personal ''Donitz / Grossadmiral'' stationery. In German, letter is dated 22 November 1978, two years before his death. Accompanied by its postal cover, addressed to Mr. Rolf Metzger of Hawthorne, CA and postmarked in Hamburg. Letter measures 8.25'' x 5.75''. Creasing, else near fine. Cover measures 6.25'' x 4.5.'' Very good condition.
