Georges-Rene Le Pelley de Pleville autograph letter signed, in French, from Paris. Pleville le Pelley, who fought with the Americans during the Revolutionary War, became a French revolutionary and served as French Minister for the Navy and the Colonies in 1797-98. He writes to Jacques Ramel, Minister of Finance, regarding Talleyrand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signing, ''Pleville le Pelley''. The 8'' x 10.5'' single page card style letter bears the seal and wax remnants of the Ministry of the Navy and the Colonies. Very good condition.
