George Washington free frank signature, signed ''Go: Washington'' on a leaf addressed to Brigadier General Daniel Morgan. Undated, but addressed to Morgan near Winchester, Virginia, where Morgan lived after the Revolutionary War. Since Morgan was promoted to Major General in 1794, this leaf was written sometime before then, possibly during Washington's service as President. Document measures 5.625'' x 3.25'', with trimmed lower edge, and mounted to flexible backing. Light wear, discoloration and folds, one through the tail end of Washington's signature. Overall very good condition with a large signature by Washington.
